This news follows the post concerning my public conference for the Lyon Astronomical Society. The conference went very well and I thanks Bernard Chevalier for the invitation.
After an introduction to Mars exploration, I concentrated my presentation on the instruments orbiting around the planet. I explained how they work and showed several observations example. I spent a little more time on visible-near infrared reflectance spectroscopy as it allows to characterize mineralogy. I finally ended with the results from a study carry out in the e-Mars team on the past habitability conditions in the vicinity of Valles Marineris.
My slides are available freely on slideshare (with the exception of the slides with unpublished results!) and directly below.
